Description
Post Office, Carcross, Yukon, Canada. This tiny wooden building houses the oldest continuously operating Post Office in Canada. It was built in 1905 in the village of Carcross, a Carcross Tagish First Nation settlement on the Klondike Highway. The historic village, once known as Caribou Crossing, was a stop during the Klondike Gold Rush. It is now tribal land of Tlingit and Tagish tribes, as well as a popular tourist destination.
